About Taylor Simone

Hi there! I’m Taylor Simone and my pronouns are they/them. I’m a UX and visual designer based out of Chicago, IL. Guided by empathy and inclusive design practices, I use my design and research skills to build high impact and accessible products.

My background in design starts at the University of Louisville where I received my B.F.A. in graphic design. My design work interacts with the intersection of human-centered design and social impact. I currently work as a product designer at charity: water, a non-profit solving the water crisis around the world. In addition to my work at charity: water, I have delivered product design and branding identities for several non-profits and mission-based startups.

My design philosophy to be human-centered and data-driven enables me to deliver reliable websites and products that target users’ core needs and center lived experiences. I have experience working on a product inclusion team. I collaborated with other team members to identify problems of bias in the product. As an inclusion-focused UX designer, I hope to create products that are grounded in trauma-informed design principles, usability, and accessibility.

When I’m not designing, you can find me trying new baking recipes, reading graphic novels or kickboxing.
